Price changes and lack of communication has lead to confusion, CEO Reaed Hastings reveals all in a company blog post.

In an apologetic blog post CEO of Netflix, Reaed Hastings, has noted the confusion caused by the recent pricing changes and his lack of communication.

In an effort to quell the confusion, Hastings has explained the restructuring of the business into two seperate companys. He explains " our view is with this split of the businesses, we will be better at streaming, and we will be better at DVD by mail."

The streaming service will retain the name Netflix and the DVD mail rental service will be renamed Qwikster.

The post mentions that, whilst the DVD arm will remain USA only, the streaming portion of the business is potentially "global"- sparking international yearning for the successful US business to set down in Europe.

The blog comes coupled with a youtube video featuring the CEO of Qwikster, the name given to the DVD arm of Netflix, Andy Rendich.

How much?!

The blog post comes on the tail of confusion around the significant price increase for members of the service; resulting in Netflix lowering its predicted membership by around 1.5million or so.

Of course if the business landed here in the UK, it would have the likes of lovefilm to contend with.
