Netflix has made it's mind up -- They've decided to come to the UK after all.

Netflix has finally revealed plans to land in the UK as we suggested a couple of weeks ago when we announced that CEO Reed Hastings was planning to take the company global; he also announced plans to split tear the DVD arm and online streaming arm apart (a decision which the company quickly backtracked on).

This is pretty exciting news for avid content streamers, with the service available on most home entertainment platforms, including both PCs and Macs, alongside Playstation 3, the Xbox 360 and even phones, and Apple TV.
The service costs around £7.99 in the USA, so we're yet to see how that will translate to the UK arm, but we're hopeful it won't cost much more.
In terms of competition there is, of course, LoveFilm- but as of yet the service hasn't seen the success of it's US equivalent- which leads us to question the chance of success for the US streaming giant on these shores...
