Siri-ous problem for UK iPhone 4S customers

Are you planning to get hold of Apple’s new iPhone 4S?

A Siri-ous problem for non-US residents is the fact that location look-ups and directory searches are not available for us to abuse.

Perhaps the most-hyped feature and service added to the iPhone 4S is the voice assistant, Siri. You can ask this assistant to find nearby locations, or ask it take you to them – just no in the UK.

This may be a deal breaker for some people – we’d still love to get our hands on this dual-core beauty.

For the time being, this is a US only novelty as Apple hasn’t partnered with a directory service here in sunny Blighty.

Ofcourse, if you’re one to read the small print, we were already informed of this on 2 occassions. A slide at Apple’s iPhone event told us of this, and if you’ve checked out the small print on Big A’s site.

Despite there being a lack of location-based services, we still have access to Siri’s, albeit rather cynical, sense of humour. The voice assistant has a very distinct attitude, and asking it certain questions can be very entertaining.
